Smart building tech is progressing faster than ever. As we enter the third quarter of 2024, we’re thrilled to share the innovative features and integrations that Genea has rolled out to elevate your security and energy management experiences.

Our commitment to providing innovative cloud-based solutions is helping customers like you cut costs and stay secure. Below, we’ve recapped the game-changing features and integrations we’ve released in 2024.

Complete Control: Build Your Own Custom Dashboard

It’s frustrating to use a security dashboard with features you don’t need. Now you don’t have to. With our new Custom Dashboard feature, you can build and customize your security interface in seconds using drag-and-drop widgets. Select the security features you need, drag them from the menu and drop them onto your dashboard — it’s that simple. This feature empowers you to design a dashboard that fits your specific requirements, streamlining your access control management.

From the dashboard, you can monitor your doors, view interactive floor plans, manage user credentials, stream security video and so much more. Creating and managing your security has never been easier.

Think Mobile: Google Wallet Comes to Genea

At Genea, we’re constantly looking toward the future. One of the major trends we see is the move to mobile credentials. Organizations are being forced to do more with less, so there’s a strong desire from IT and security professionals to save time without risking security. With that in mind, we’ve launched credentials in Google Wallet.

There are several benefits of provisioning and storing key cards in Google Wallet. This technology provides faster provisioning and more convenient access while eliminating misplaced or stolen key cards.

For security administrators, Wallet provides a faster way to provision keys, saving you time – all you need is an internet signal. Instead of distributing physical key cards in person, administrators simply log into their Genea Security dashboard, select a user, add access permissions and send.

Genea users can now provision physical key cards and mobile key cards in Genea’s mobile app, Apple Wallet and Google Wallet.

Video in Genea Security: Bidirectional Integration with Cisco Meraki

Responding to access events is now faster and more efficient with our bidirectional integration with Cisco Meraki. Organizations can view their access control and video from their Cisco security cameras inside Genea Security

By consolidating access control and video surveillance, we provide a comprehensive security solution that enhances situational awareness and response times.

Making Schools Safer: Genea Integrates with Transact

With the school year approaching, IT and security teams can design safer campus environments with the Genea + Transact integration. This integration gives users the power to use Transact’s advanced credentialing within the Genea Security platform. Enjoy streamlined access management, enhanced security and a unified solution that simplifies campus operations. This partnership ensures a secure and efficient environment for students, faculty and staff.

New Additions: Mitsubishi and TKE Elevator Destination Dispatch

In addition to the above features, we’ve also launched several important integrations. Elevator integrations have expanded to include Mitsubishi and TKE (formerly Thyssenkrupp), bringing our total count to five integrations. Genea also integrates with Braxxos, OTIS and Schindler

Destination dispatch can help you efficiently manage foot traffic and get tenants to their offices faster. Commercial real estate (CRE) buildings that use elevator destination dispatch systems add convenience to the tenant and visitor experience.

By integrating Mitsubishi and TKE with Genea Security, property management teams can provision key cards and mobile credentials for use in elevators, buildings and offices. With Genea and Mitsubishi or TKE property teams and tenants have a way to use a single, master key card. It’s convenient and secure.

Aside from the convenience factor, integrating with Genea Security gives system administrators at the building and suite levels insight into access. You’ll immediately know when a guest or employee attempts to access your building elevators.

Bulk Guest Invites for Visitor Management

Did you know Genea has a native visitor management platform?

Making a great first impression on your guests is critical for enterprises and commercial real estate teams. With Genea Visitor Management, you can automate guest provisioning and curate a seamless visitor experience from parking garage to suite.

Our enhanced Visitor Management feature now offers Bulk Guest Invitations. You no longer need to provision visitor credentials one by one. Instead, you can save time by assigning and distributing credentials to an entire group of guests.

Visitor Management Dashboards for Employees

Visitor Management Dashboards are now available. In the past, system administrators were the gatekeepers of visitor management. Anytime an employee needed a guest key card, the employee would have to contact the administrator. Now, if someone within your company needs to invite a guest to an important meeting, they can create visitor credentials without your assistance.

Rebrand! Overtime HVAC is Now On-Demand HVAC

The hybrid office has changed the CRE industry. Many tenants no longer work from their office five days per week, leaving property managers paying to heat and cool empty offices. But you don’t have to.

Genea On-Demand HVAC helps property teams and their tenants use HVAC service only when necessary. See how you can save money on cooling and heating costs; reduce maintenance of HVAC equipment; eliminate paperwork and more.
