Cincinnati Open: Serving Up Scalable Security for a World-Class Tennis Venue
Following a $260 million renovation that doubled its venue to 40 acres, the Cincinnati Open needed an access control system capable of supporting a larger tournament, complex credential requirements, and year-round operations. The expanded campus added new player facilities, hospitality areas, event spaces, and more than 100 access points, all of which needed to be secured without compromising the welcoming atmosphere that makes the tournament unique.
By partnering with Genea and Wavelynx, the Cincinnati Open implemented a flexible, cloud-native solution across approximately 125 readers in just 11 months. Through Genea’s centralized platform, the Cincinnati Open can now use mobile employee credentials, specialized tournament badges, and ticketed access while giving administrators greater visibility and control across the campus. The result is a scalable security ecosystem that protects players, staff, and fans while supporting the tournament’s continued growth.
