Look out Salt Lake City, BOMA International is coming for you! Genea will be represented in two panel discussions at BOMA International 2019, and you’ll want to carve out time for both. Our CEO, Michael Wong, will be moderating a panel called The Painful Truth About Submeter Management (and How to Overcome It) on Monday, June 24th. Our Vice President (and resident guru) of Marketing, Emily Hossellman, is hosting a panel called Attract and Retain Talent: Hear Directly from Emerging Professionals.
Submeter management is the bane of many, many property teams. In this panel you’ll get insights from industry leaders on how they’ve tackled submeter management across their portfolios and the results they’ve achieved. We’ll discuss why submeter management is so challenging for the industry and the different hurdles these teams have overcome.
As Genea CEO Michael Wong moderates, the panel — including Kelly Kirwan of Dilweg Companies LLC, Melanie Colbert of LBA Realty, and Michael Wojdag of RMR Group — will share their best practices for making your submeter management more efficient and accurate.
You can find out more about the session on the BOMA International website.
It’s hard to discuss the challenges of hiring and retaining talent in today’s market without talking about millennials, who are poised to fill most positions in the industry in coming years. This panel, moderated by Genea’s VP of Marketing Emily Hossellman, brings together young property management professionals in an interactive conversation about the challenges and trends millennials are seeing in the industry.
The group, comprised of Amanda Davis of CBRE, Erin Dayanan of Pacific Property Group, Theotto Lillard of Hubbel Realty Co., and Mason Bodie of Stream Realty, will discuss their career paths, what drew them into the industry, what they look for when job hunting, and what they request from senior management to help younger professionals thrive in the industry. Finally, they’ll discuss how they and those coming next will be shaping the industry for years to come.
Don’t miss this panel if you want to get inside the mind of the next generation of leaders in the CRE industry.
